Txoko (pronounced ‘chok-o’) is the Basque name given to gastronomic societies that translates to “Cozy Corner”

Txoko was born out of the covid 19 lockdown in 2020 in Martinborough New Zealand and initially focused around boutique pop-up themed dinners and catering.

In 2024 the family and I moved back to Wellington and I have relaunched Txoko after a couple of years focusing on opening and running venues in Wellington and Wairarapa. Where I will start hosting events again in 2025

I have had an extensive career in Hospitality in both the Kitchen and in the Front of House and more recently have been doing a bit more content creation and have been authoring a book based around the history of hospitality in Wellington.
